Can hardly wait… not seen her for a week and that’s a week too long… well *I* think so… not sure if *she* does
I’ll keep updating the MoneyMaker pages and adding details of what where when and who but it’s time to get back to what I *used* to do which was post on stuff that interested me in the general world outside the realms of ‘cyber finance’
To begin with I’m again watching the abysmal interpretation of “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”. Thing is that as crap an interpretation as it is, it’s not a bad film in its own right… *very* dark… but watchable.
Starts? Yup… ‘invested’ in a couple of online investment programs to see what happens. This is a risky business so I’ll not be too specific until they actually pay out… one is supposed to pay out in two days so hardly a long wait… the other in a month. Keep watching the space… if either of them pay out then they’re worth a shot!
Just sent the application off for an Australian Business Number (ABN). The ABN is essential over here for business regardless where the income comes from.
If this online stuff takes off (which I honestly believe it will) I’ll have to declare the income. I doubt I’d have to pay tax on it of course… all ‘profits’ would go back into buying more necessary equipment… or something
All I need to do is get the damn sites finished and we’re away. Working on it… slowly.
The description of the Payment Processors is all bar done now. I just need to add details of how to get your money *out* of the system and it’s done
Like I said earlier… I bought a USB box to use to access the old HDD but so far I’ve not been able toget into it. All I see is one part of the Toshiba configuration and none of the files etc behind it.
I’ll ring the support guy and ask if this is ‘normal’ and if not what can I do?
Bit of a bugger tho…
Seems he missed the wife as well as he left me a little present this morning. I stepped in it as I wandered half asleep into the bathroom… ewww… what a job first thing in the morning.
After that the day could only get better
My mother said “It’s lucky”. My retort was it was lucky for the dog that I didn’t kill him!!
After getting the wife to buy me a new PDA, I finally discovered a new repairer of the old machine! Grrr… they’re up in Queensland, and when I rang for a quote they said oooh…. around $200 or so… agghh…!! I *have* to repair is as it originally cost around $1500 and the new one was no cheaper (although much better specs) – but still… I wish I’d found this out a couple of weeks ago!
Went over to Danka and picked it up. Total repair cost was $1,094.94 which included a new DVD drive ($600), an 80Gig disk ($268.18) and a 2.5″ disk ‘enclosure’ (i.e. box) for the old disc. Labour was $72.22.
Not cheap but less than buying a new one… or even buying a new desktop. On the otehr hand this is the *third* DVD drive in this machine so I think maybe there is a design issue somewhere that needs addressing! Still… I’m working my way through the recovery disks now and will then need to upgrade the OS via Service Pack 2 and then let Microsoft have it’s wicked way at the update site.
Maybe after all that I’ll be able to reinstall the software and actually *use* the damn thing
A week by myself… well alone except for the oldies and the kids… and dogs… and cat… and fishes… and the housework… groan…
I was going to spend the day on the computer but instead I had a go at our bedroom… which I assure you was several months overdue for detonation. I managed to get as far the end of the bed… i.e. the immediate area is clear… all I have to do now is attack the centre… if I survive I’ll be back
One other thing… whilst in there I discovered under the bed, a phone handset that has been missing for two months. Net!
