Tempus fugit.

Amazing how fast time passes when you’re having fun… or just plain busy. It seems only a day or two ago that I was getting concerned about the imminent arrival of the oldies and how we were going to be able to prepare in time for their stay… and now I turn around and six months have flown by. The oldies have gone back to the UK… albeit under protest and here am I sitting in the house by my workstation all alone once more.
On a theme, in many many ways it’s sad to look around and see the young woman my daughter is changing into. She was 10 a few days ago (we share a half birthday :)) and she decided she was ‘mature enough’ to take a few friends out to lunch and a movie. Luckily old age hasn’t quite hit her yet as she also opted for coming back to the house for an evening swim followed by pizza and a sleepover.
The evening was made for her by my fathers birthday present (well ours as well really) which was a widescreen laptop so she spent a lot of the night playing dvd’s for her and her friends to watch… she’s still a kid at heart
