Seems my son is on the move back in the UK. I’ve not got any idea where he’s gone… I hardly ever hear from him… and never at all from his wife. In fact the last time we heard from her was a curt email complaining because we’d let the wife’s cancer interfere with her wedding plans.
Not a word of sympathy for our concern or stress… just a short note telling us it would be polite to confirm we wouldn’t be going to the wedding.
I appreciate her upcoming nuptuals were causing her a little stress… but I think the total lack of empathy for someone elses life and death struggle spoke a lot for her depth of character.
What? Hold a grudge? Me? Shirley knot…… ?
